Thief, liar and now advisor to Hillary |
| Monday, October 08, 2007 |
| Former Clinton Administration National Security Advisor, Sandy Burger, who admitted to illegally removing classified documents from the national archives and then lying about it to investigators is now an advisor to Hillary Clinton's campaign for president. And some people in America want another Clinton administration to start in 2008. Deja vu all over again. |

Liberal quagmire: Is it politically saavy to continue to sabotage Iraq? |
| Saturday, August 25, 2007 |
| It was almost a month ago that Iraq war critics Kenneth Pollack and Michael O'Hanlon returned from Iraq and published their opinion piece, "A War We Might Just Win". In it, they admitted that the tide could be turning in Iraq and the war can be won. Also of note, a Democrat congressman who has opposed the war and is a self- described critic of the war and the administration has recently come back from Iraq to report that he now believes we should continue to fight. However, don't expect the same intellectual honesty out of a majority of the left. The last brigade of troops as part of the of the troop surge didn't arrive in Iraq until June and weren't fully operational until July. Did Democrat leaders allow the troops to arrive and begin their work before launching their inevitable load of criticism? Of course not. They actually began their criticism in mid-June. So now we have the President cautioning war critics against trying to take us down the same path as Vietnam and talk our way into giving up despite consistent military success and a prominent Democrat Senaton making inappropriate statements about the Iraqi government (apparently Mr. Levin hasn't figured out that the Iraqis choose their own government and the United States doesn't). It even inspired a response by Prime Minister Maliki himself. However, it appears liberals can't even figure out what is the most politically expedient decision. They initially supported the war enough to vote for it. Then the war became unpopular (largely due to the collective effort of US liberal politicians talking it down) and their support turned to opposition. Now, despite the best efforts of the media to supppress good news in Iraq, the surge appears to be showing positive results and America's confidence in President Bush may be turning around. And as a result, do most Democrats have a backbone or a set of core principals that they are sticking by? Of course not. Their political manauvering changes with the latest political wind and they put what's good for their political power ahead of what's good for their country or the world. But rest assured that there will always be the far left, hoping and praying (actually not praying, they don't believe in God) that we will pull out and the war will be declared lost. The rest of the story on the Cheney YouTube video |
| Sunday, August 19, 2007 |
| This past week, liberal blogs, left-wing pundits and other misguided individuals hyperventilated over a YouTube clip of Dick Cheney speaking in a C-SPAN interview on April 15, 1994. In the video, Cheney describes reasons why the United States was correct when the decision was made to not go into Baghdad and remove Hussein and the Baath Party from power during the first Gulf War. His critics claim that all the reasons that he stated thirteen years ago are applicable today. With their characteristic inability to examine external threats to the United States with a realistic perspective, the left has simply repeated the same whining and nonsense that has brought us such intellectual pillars of thought such as "Bush lied, people died" and "No blood for oil". I will take this opportunity to point out that after the Cheney interview, the UN Security Council passed seventeen resolutions including resolution 1441, which was passed unanimously and stated such things as Iraq was in material breach of the WMD provisions of the ceasefire that ended the first Gulf War and that the resolution represented Iraq's final opportunity to comply with the disarmament requirements. I could point out that September 11th occured after the Cheney video, and while Iraq did not have any direct connection to the attacks, the United States woke up to the fact that it had to agressively go on the offensive against world terrorism and be proactive in minimizing the ability of our adversaries to directly attack us or support others in attacking us. Of course, I am arguing the Iraq war all over again and I don't expect one liberal to change their mind about it. I'll just sit back and remind them of reality and let them continue their whining. And one parting shot - Al Gore, the man who claimed that the current President, George W. Bush, betrayed the United States for leading the country to war with Iraq, was recently spotted on YouTube in a speech he gave in 1992 criticizing the first President Bush for ignoring Iraq's ties to terrorism. The latest attempt by the attempt to sabotage the Iraq war |
| Friday, August 17, 2007 |
| A.N.S.W.E.R. (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) is organizing another anti-war protest in Washington DC on September 15. I may once again attend as a counter-protester. Those of us that consider ourselves pro-war counter-protesters are usually outnumbered about 5,000 to 1, but it's fun nonetheless. There's something really amusing about watching a large collection of lunatics get together. It was entertaining the last time I went. Sadly, though, there is no doubt in my mind that people like these serve to help crush the morale of our troops and inspire the enemy to fight on. They did it in Vietnam and they are doing it now. The return of George Allen |
|
| Rumors are increasing that former Virginia Senator and governor George Allen may be considering another run for public office. In an article in today's Washington Times, he stated that he has not ruled out a run for Governor. I welcome his run, but I have to wonder if it is too early. He is fresh off the loss to James Webb in his 2006 reelection bid. That election was laden with media smear against Allen's alleged racism. The media obsessed over his macaca comment (the same media that once virtually ignored when former Klu Klux Klan and current Democrat Senator Robert Byrd used the "n" word). The media hounded Allen because his mother was allegedly Jewish (and God knows, this was relevant to Allen's campaign and candidacy). A Salon.com correspondent interviewed nineteen of Allen's college football teammates, and allegedly three of them claimed that he used the "n" word. There were even stories circulating throughout Virginia that when he was young, Allen allegedly cut off the head of a deer and stuffed it into the mailbox of a black family. I know it's hard to believe, but the media actually ran with this story too (gasp!). So what if there was never a police report filed or anyone of the members of the black family that came forward to confirm this story. Don't let evidence, or lack thereof, get in the way of a good smear campaign! So my concern is not that the media will have a big target on Allen's head. They will. That is inevitable, regardless of whether he runs for office now or in a decade. What concerns me is that there are enough people around who will pause just long enough when they remember all this nonsense that it may hurt Allen's chances of becoming Virginia's next governor.
